Description

Class Experience

In this class we will take a unique path to preparing for kindergarten. We will discover new languages and cultures as we explore the seven continents of the world while also gaining basic skills necessary for kindergarten. Each week will have a focus or theme of a different continent. Students will also learn and have weekly practice with the following information and concepts: days of the week, months of the year, reading and writing the date, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, number...

Students will learn and gain academic skills that will prepare them to enter kindergarten at or above grade level.

Teacher is a native Spanish speaker and has ample experience teaching Spanish to young students.

Teacher will post worksheets each week to be printed off by parents and completed by students during class with the teacher or after class on their own.

Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during lessons and routines. Students will be able to ask and answer questions on their own. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
