In this Spanish immersion class, students will practice Spanish vocabulary related to themes with activities and fun games, that will help students review concepts and encourage them to think, write and speak in Spanish.

Intermediate - Advanced Level
In this Ongoing Spanish immersion class, students will review Spanish vocabulary, test their memory and fluency playing games and doing activities. The goal is to help students gain confidence as they think and speak in Spanish. ✅ This Class is for Intermediate and Advanced students, there is a similar class for Beginners Level. ✅ This class will use mostly Spanish (English will be used when necessary). There will be a Theme for each Month and each week there will be a different topic. 💫 Vocabulary will be reviewed through a game or an activity. 💫 An Open question will be provided to encourage conversation. 💫 Every student will be encouraged to share, even if it is a sentence to help build confidence. ⭐️ August: End of the Summer Week of Aug 21st - 26th My Favorite Summer activity Likes and dislikes. Week of Aug 28th - Sep 2nd My favorite place to visit in Summer Actions ⭐️ September: Changing Seasons • Sep 4th : No Class Week of Sep 5th - 9th What is your daily routine? Do you keep a schedule? Week of Sep 11th - 16th Do you have a hobby or practice a Sport? Week of Sep 18th - 23rd: What is your favorite thing to eat? Week of Sep 25th - 30th: Do you like Fall? ➡️ Please Note: **During the class, students will review the vocabulary using interactive games from a website called "Blooket". Students Do Not need to create a Blooket account. Students need Parental Permission to access Blooket.com/play and use a Game ID that I will provide, or to use the link that I will provide in the chat. ***All material will be presented via Canva and screen shared by the teacher. The PDFs will also be screen shared by the teacher so they can be completed as an oral and written exercise. There will be a review of the vocabulary that will be used during the game, If the game is over before the time scheduled, we will play “What is in the bag” where students will listen to clues and find the mystery object in the bag. *****CLASS RECORDING POLICY : I do not share recordings of my group classes in order to protect the privacy of all learners (many parents do not feel comfortable with other families having access to videos that include their child). However, you are welcome to watch and help your child, OFF SCREEN, to comply with Outschool Policy, so that you can also have access to the content.

During my College years, I worked for a language company in Colombia (CIL), I was trained by the owner in a conversational teaching method to teach ESL and Spanish to foreigners. It was a great opportunity to learn hands on how to teach others to communicate in other languages, how to teach children both in English and Spanish and how to be a bridge of knowledge in every subject that I was Certified in. It was such a wonderful experience that I kept working for them for more than 8 years giving me vast training in handling English and Spanish classes, I now use that experience and the fact that I am a native Spanish speaker to share what I know with children and to help them cope with anxiety and stress through mindfulness.
