This is a Spanish immersion course. In this 16 week course, learners will practice and broaden their Spanish language knowledge by speaking while playing a variety of games.

Class Experience

This  is a Spanish immersion class, learners with intermediate-advanced level in Spanish are welcome. Learners need to have prior knowledge and also to understand Spanish as this is a Spanish immersion class. Furthermore, the teacher will implement games to play in the class in order to practice vocabulary, the teacher will start each class by explaining the rules of the games; learners will practice Spanish in a fun way where they will be encouraged to participate by speaking and following the instructions given.  In addition, learners will broaden their vocabulary and reinforce their knowledge about the Spanish language with a variety of topics. Learners will practice speaking, listening spelling, grammar and reading skills in a fun way with a variety of games. For some classes the teacher will send hand outs to have them ready to use in class. The break down of the course is as follows:

Week 1: Bingo: To practice vocabulary about food.
Week 2:Tongue Twisters: To practice pronunciation in a fun way.
Week 3:Guess the word: To practice speaking and comprehension skills with riddles.
Week 4:Pictionary: To practice miscellaneous vocabulary.
Week 5:Scavenger Hunt: To practice listening comprehension and speaking skills.
Week 6:Spot the difference: To practice description of pictures using appropriate adjectives and negatives and affirmative sentences.
Week 7:Matching pictures: To practice vocabulary about sports.
Week 8: Acting up: To practice vocabulary about  reflexive and non reflexive verbs.
Week 9:Snakes and ladders: To practice vocabulary about conjugation of verbs. Speaking and grammar skills.
Week 10:Four in a Row (Connect 4):To practice vocabulary about seaside.
Week 11:Guess the job: To practice vocabulary about jobs while describing them.
Week 12:Guess who: To practice vocabulary to describe people.
Week 13:Guess the animal: To practice vocabulary about animals, guessing animals by looking at pictures and by description.
Week 14:Spelling: To practice grammar, practicing the alphabet and the correct way to write them in Spanish.
Week 15:Bingo: To practice vocabulary about winter Olympics.
Week 16:Chinese Whispers/telephone: To practice speaking and listening comprehension.

¡Hola a todos! Bonjour tout le monde!  Hello everyone!

 I am multilingual, with a Bachelor’s  Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. I speak Spanish, French, and English. I have also attended the following workshops/trainings in Canada: Science of Early Childhood Development-Play, Science of Early Childhood Development-Language and Literacy, Science of Early Childhood Development-Introductory Level, Transition Planning Intermediate Level, and Adult Education-Intermediate level. I have been teaching French and Spanish languages for over eight years. My students range from toddlers to adults. I have lived and worked in France and Mexico.  Currently, I live  in Canada.
 I offer the following skills: Ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds, interactive lesson plans, good interpersonal  skills and a passion for languages. I am an active listener and team player. I like to do crafting and science experiments with my family. I also enjoy learning to cook different kind of dishes, lately I have made Asian dishes such as brown rice and eggplant. I like travelling and I have learnt  the culture of the languages that I teach where the languages that I speak are the mother tongues.
