In this enrichment club for beginners, the students will learn how to speak, read and write in Spanish. By practicing conversation during each session, they will be able to respond to basic requests and speak about familiar topics.

Hello Outschool parents and students, In this ongoing club, students will learn and develop their Spanish skills, by practicing all areas of the language through fun and interactive activities. Each week, a new topic will be covered; in the first meeting, students will practice how to introduce themselves and talk about their background. The following weeks the lessons will include themes such as talking about likes and dislikes, describing physical characteristics in animals and people, recognizing and learning character traits, describing different activities and communities, among other topics. Some sessions, the instructor or the students will read easy short paragraphs followed by reading comprehension through conversation. The instructor will be sharing slides with vocabulary and grammar rules, which will also be available in the classroom link, in order for everyone to be able to practice between sessions. This class is designed for learners to actively participate in all activities throughout the sessions, keeping in mind that by being engaged and interested in the different topics, learning a new language will be much easier and fun.

The goal in this class, is for students to learn Spanish and become more confident when speaking the language in different situations.

I am a certified educator in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and a native speaker from Colombia. I have been working with children since 2003 and joined Outschool in April 2020; it has been a very rewarding and fulfilling adventure!
