Class Experience

This is a private class for siblings (2 or 4 kids).
You can also enroll with your cousins or friends! The 25 minutes is only for YOUR family no other kids will join.
(Age range: 5 to 18 years old)

Classes will be customized for each learner.
I offer my own curriculum, starting with Semester 1A of classes to Semester 4B, starting with the basics and completing the four levels.
My teaching philosophy is to create an environment of fun, fast-paced classes with 2-3 games per class. I want my students to be happy and energetic, but I also consider their current needs.

Students must be both enrolled to receive classes together.
For instance, for the beginner student, we can learn about:
• Weather, asking questions and answering in complete sentences.
• Days of The Week and months.
• Verbs (we learn 30 verbs in our first semester together, along with conjugations in the Ϩform)
• Likes and dislikes, asking others what they like and answering in complete sentences.
•	Colors and being able to describe objects using the colors learned.
•	Numbers (0-100,000)
•	Fruits and Vegetables
•	My Body
•	My World
•	Greetings and ways to say Goodbye
•	Animals at the Beach, the woods, desert.
•	Seasons and being able to explain what happens in each season.

For instance, for the more advanced students:
I can help with pronunciation (speaking, reading fluency/comprehension), vocabulary (retention/acquiring), conversation (organization of ideas, practice with a fluent speaker), & grammar (conjugating in the present tense, two past tenses, and advanced structures + usage + practice).

Topics: Things like careers, describing people, sports, emotions, food, music, art, books, celebrations, family, traveling, geography, and grammar.

This class does not require experience or knowledge from the learner. We can start from the beginning.

This is an outgoing class so that you can cancel any week.

¡Hola! My name is Elizabeth Rendon, but I go by Señorita Rendón. I was born in Mexico and currently live in Arizona. I also lived in Costa Rica and Panama while volunteering as a music teacher to unprivileged communities for three amazing years.

I am an educator with ten years of experience teaching Spanish, Music, and ESL. I hold a bachelor's degree in Music (emphasis on piano and voice) and a Master's degree in Education.
I am also TESOL certified.

I have experience teaching my two passions: Spanish and Music.
I taught Spanish as a second language for two years to elementary and High School students on daily basics. (2016-2018)
Then, I tasted the classroom setting of a Charter School, teaching Band and Piano group lessons for two years (2018-2020)
For the last five years, since I did a lot of traveling between Costa Rica and Panama, I have been teaching online with Magic Ears, VIPKID, and Intervene (TutorGigs K-12 Tutoring services) while teaching piano during the evenings at my Music Studio at home.

My teaching philosophy is learning in a safe, joyful environment.
I am an energetic and passionate teacher that enjoys seeing my students learn, have fun, and grow. My Spanish classes are fully immersive, interactive, and filled with smiles, lots of visual aids, games, music, and props.

I follow the TPRS Method (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling). These lessons include learning new vocabulary each lesson, short readings through storytelling, games, and repetition.

I love teaching my native language, Spanish, sharing my experiences living in different Spanish-speaking countries (Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama), and sharing the gift of Music with others!

I can't wait to meet you in class!
