Spanish Class for Elementary Beginner Spanish (Once-Weekly) ~ Part 1

¡Hola!

Welcome to my interactive Spanish class! Get ready to sing, move, and play games while exploring the vibrant world of the Spanish language. In this beginner-friendly class, students will dive into colors, numbers, family, pets, food, and simple conversations. No prior experience is required – everyone can thrive! The first session will blend Spanish and English to bolster confidence, gradually transitioning to more Spanish immersion. Each class promises engaging activities like singing and games, ensuring excitement and effective learning. Let's embark on this enriching journey together!

Lessons 1-2
I know frequently used classroom phrases. 
I can introduce myself.  (Me llamo ____________.)
I can say “Nice to meet you.”  (Mucho gusto.)
I can identify colors.
I can count to 12.

Lessons 3-4
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, colors, and numbers)
I can say how I feel. 
I can name family members. 

Lessons 5-6
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, emotions, and family members)
I can say how old I am. 
I can describe myself.  (eye and hair color)

Lessons 7-8
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, emotions, color, and family members)
I can name household pets. (gato, perro, pez, pájaro, hámster, serpiente) 
I can describe pets using colors. 
I can describe pets based on size. 

Lessons 9-10
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, emotions, color, and family members, pets)
I can say that I like/dislike various pets.
I can count pets. 

Lessons 11-12
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, emotions, color, and family members, pets, likes/dislikes)
I can name various foods.
I can say if I like or dislike foods.   

Lessons 13-14
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, emotions, color, and family members, pets, like/dislikes)
I can say where I live.
I can describe myself.

Lessons 15-16
I can recall previously learned concepts.
I can create a project to demonstrate learning.  (poster or writing piece.)
