English is used for clarification and to ease the experience of learners. Language instruction focuses more on meaningful and purposeful communication than on grammatical mastery. Students are encouraged first to understand and then to produce in the language. The target language is used by both teachers and students. ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฒ: Participation is always encouraged. My preference is to have learners unmuted, however there may be instances when learners need to be muted due to the background noise or in order to hear other learners share. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ: Learners will be asked to raise their hands to ask a question or before sharing. I may also call on each learner and may do so in order that I see them on my screen. ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ : * I will need to see each student on video at least at the beginning of the class for safety reasons in order to verify their identity. *I adhere to the Outschool policy of one learner onscreen per account. Siblings are welcome to sign up under different accounts.
