Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Intermediate - Advanced Level
This class is a blend of homeroom and study hall where students are welcome to drop by anytime for casual conversation or receive assistance with their Spanish homework, whether it's a writing assignment, discussing a book, or brainstorming project ideas for upcoming projects.

Café Español serves as a virtual study hall, where the teacher is readily available to students seeking to practice their Spanish or in need of homework assistance. Sometimes, learners simply wish to engage in conversation, whether with an adult or peers, and this class provides the ideal platform for that. At times, they may seek a helping hand with assignments or understanding the books they're reading in their Spanish class. Well, this is the perfect place for that! We have scheduled these sessions to allow students the flexibility to drop in whenever they desire, for any reason they may have to meet their Spanish needs. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨; it's a relaxed environment distinct from one-on-one tutoring or structured classes, 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨. Think of it as a form of open office hours and social time, ready for anyone interested in furthering their Spanish practice.

In a typical Café Español class, students gather virtually in a welcoming online space that is comfortable and engaging. The session begins with casual Spanish conversations, allowing students to share their thoughts on various topics, from their favorite Spanish films to recent news from the Spanish-speaking world or simply what they have been learning in a formal Spanish class setting. As discussions flow, students may seek assistance with their Spanish homework or request guidance on understanding a challenging passage from a Spanish novel they're reading. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩-𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙪𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙜𝙚. Whether it's practicing conversational skills, delving into literary analysis, or exploring cultural nuances, each class is a unique and engaging Spanish journey.

We hope to see you soon! No formalities, just an open door to endless possibilities in the company of fellow Spanish enthusiasts. Be a part of this experience, where you take the lead, and your Spanish journey becomes an exciting adventure. We aim to instill the belief that language is life, as it enhances our ability to communicate, relate, and understand others. We want students to feel comfortable and motivated to interact with both peers and the teacher. Through open discussions, shared experiences, and collaborative projects, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture, empowering students to forge meaningful connections and broaden their horizons through effective communication.
