Description

Class Experience

Students will learn basic vocabulary words in Spanish based on a new theme each week.
Students will select, print and color a BINGO card.
Students will listen to, repeat, and identify the Spanish vocabulary words on their BINGO card.
Students will have fun playing a game to apply their new language skills.
I have a bachelors degree in Spanish, was certified with an endorsement to teach Spanish, grades 3-8, took ongoing Spanish Teacher education for 2 months in Mexico, and have also spent time traveling in Spain, in addition to studying abroad for a term in Chile.
I also did part of my student teaching in a Spanish Immersion classroom, and spent my first year as a classroom teacher developing curriculum for and teaching a new Spanish Language Program at a local school district.
There is no homework for this class, however students are encouraged to continue playing at home with their families if they'd like! :) There are plenty of BINGO cards to go around.
Students will need to download and print a BINGO card to bring to class. A new collection to select from will be uploaded to the classroom each week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students are assessed based on participation. This means repeating the vocabulary words to practice pronunciation, coloring their BINGO card and then participating in the BINGO game, looking for and marking each item on their card as it is called.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
