Description
Class Experience
Learners will practice reading and spelling Spanish words that they learned in previous Spanish classes.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I started learning Spanish in High School, taking 2 years of Spanish classes in High School and 1 year of Spanish classes at DePaul University. Those classes helped me to build a great foundation in reading fluently in Spanish and speaking the language. For the past 20 years, I have immersed myself in the Spanish language and culture. Most native Spanish speakers are amazed when they hear me read and speak Spanish because they say I do so without an English accent. I love to teach others how to read Spanish, as I know from experience that's the best way to learn the language! I have been teaching Spanish classes virtually for the past 2 years. Many students who have taken my class did not know any Spanish at first and by the end of the school year can now confidently read in Spanish and hold a basic conversation.
Before the class, I will provide a list of Spanish vocabulary words that may be present in the game so that learners can study any words they don't already know.
1 file available upon enrollmentAn electronic device (preferable in addition to the one that will be used to view the class).
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
During class I will use the game Drawful 2 through Steam in screen share. The game is set to "Family-Friendly" mode, which according to its website puts it at an E10+ rating. However, the game that will be used in the class is one that I have custom created, making it friendly for all ages. Learners will need to go to the browser to Jackbox.tv to play.
