Spanish Assessment - What Level Am I? - Trivia Loca - 100% Spanish Immersion by Native Speaker - Ages 8-13

Let me fill you in as to how this class works...
In this class we use our time wisely and go through a series of intentional exercises that will allow me to assess learners and meet them at their current learning ability.

⭐Students will be assessed in the following categories:
🪅Speaking Fluency
🪅Comprehension
🪅Pronunciation
🪅Reading
🪅Writing

⭐The class will consist of a series of challenges that we will all face together. Students will be met at their level and will be provided time to participate individually in each of the activities. This class will be presented to students in a fully immersive manner. Students will be given tools to communicate in Spanish. The class will be led 100% in Spanish. If you feel that this may be overwhelming for your child, please talk to them prior to class and explain that this is only a trial lesson and that the teacher knows about their current Spanish level. If this is the case, please send me a note providing me with details and concerns.

Students will be classified using the following system:
 “La Maestra Moni’s Spanish Speaking Program”.

💛Basic or Intro Level: 
Students that are learning the Basics: Letters, Sounds, Numbers, Shapes, Colors, Greetings, Simple Sentence Patterns

💙Beginner: 
Students that know the basics and are learning to put sentences together.

💜Intermediate: 
Students that speak in sentences and are practicing grammar, reading, pronunciation & expanding  their vocabulary.

💖Advanced: 
Students that have a rich vocabulary, can sustain conversations, need support pronouncing & would benefit from speaking practice.

🖤 Black Belt:
Students that have mastered the advanced level and are ready to have complex debates and conversations. We will focus on Vocabulary expansion idiomatic expression and cultural conundrums.

💗 Native Speakers Series (Jr, 1, 2 & 3): 
This series is designed specially for heritage students and is taught with a faster pace and different approach. This series is for students that live in bilingual homes (At least one of the parents speaks Spanish) or are immersed in the language. (2 years+ in a 100% immersion school or living in a Spanish speaking country.)

⭐Teaching Philosophy
🦄How will the class be taught?
The class will be taught using body language to illustrate vocabulary. I like to model the language for children and make slight corrections using positive reinforcements. Your child will be presented the opportunity to join the conversation through various prompts. Learners will practice their language skills with other learners and engage in Community learning. 

🦄What is it like to take a class with “La Maestra Moni”?
Welcome to a happy place! My teaching style is dynamic and easy to follow. My aim is to provide ALL students ample opportunity to speak and repeat Spanish terms. The class will be visually appealing and engaging. My goal is to CONNECT with your child and build up his or her confidence.

🦄My Teaching Philosophy:
I use the Comprehensible Input approach to teach this Spanish Immersion class. Comprehensible input is language input that can be understood by listeners despite them not understanding all the words and structures in it. According to Krashen's theory of language acquisition, giving learners this kind of input helps them acquire language naturally, rather than learn it consciously.

A personalized written summary will be provided on the student's assessment and it will be delivered within 48hrs after our lesson.
