Class Experience

In this flex class students will learn to recognize letters in the Spanish and English alphabet. They will learn how to phonetically sound them out and write them as well.

This is a flexible class and there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. I also teach an ongoing live version of this class. Click on my picture to see other class offerings.

For this flexible class, I will post 2 videos, songs, and worksheets each week. We will make videos of ourselves, do worksheets, and play show and tell. We will sing songs 🎵 and learn two letters per week. We will learn what each sound makes and find objects that start with that letter. We will learn 4 words that start with that letter in Spanish and practice them by learning to trace and color our new words. I will post a new handout for each new lesson.

A will post a short video, song, and tracing worksheet 2 times a week. The video will leave time for your learner to repeat. Please encourage your child to repeat after me when we learn our new words. It will almost be as if it is live (kind of like Blue Clues or Dora). After they watch the video they will be expected to trace their new letter and create a video showing something that starts with the new letter they learned.

This class will be 20% Spanish and 80% English. Starting off at this ratio will slowly ease their way into learning a foreign language without becoming overwhelmed right away. This class does not require your learner to know any letters in English or Spanish. Learning Spanish will reinforce the language in your child's own language. The best time to learn a foreign language is at this age; their brain is designed for learning language. Learning a foreign language will enhance your child's English skills and will allow them to advance faster in their own language. By the end of the course, your learner will be able to recognize many letters in Spanish and English and will be well on their way to reading.

I look forward to teaching your son or daughter. I hope to see you soon! Hasta pronto!
