Each bi- week will end with a Quiz on what was taught. Quizzes may be written, oral, or through review. There will be a mid- course assessment and a course comprehension assessment to see students' comprehension of the subject . When the quizzes are assigned are subject to change.Class Experience
This is a self-made curriculum that will focus on the syllabus listed in the new "syllabus" section. A workbook will be provided!* We will be using a discussion style class as well as the websites Kahoot, Quizlet and Blooket for review games. Learners will use Flip for creating videos weekly as part of assignments. We will have quizzes that can come in the follwing formats: goolge form, games, class discussions Outside of the topics in the syllabus the following vocabulary themes will also be included in the workbooks Weeks 1&2 Vocabulary Introduction- places around the city/ Guidelines for project Interactive Activities: Group discussions, Write-up on community places with past tense Bi- Weekly Quiz Weeks 3&4 Vocabulary Introduction- travel Write up on past vacations Bi-Weekly Quiz Weeks 5&6 Mid- course review and assessment * From weeks 1-5 Weeks 7&8 Vocabulary: the body and reflexive verbs list Weeks 9&10 Using Grammar points in stories and conversations Activities- In-class Assignment Review and go over any missed concepts or those with more review required Project Presentation** Review of materials learned in the course and complete COMPREHENSION ASSESSMENT There is an optional 5-week Spanish Speech Writing class for those who would like classes in between the Fall and Spring Semesters. (If more hours of coursework is desired/needed) **All students are required to complete a course project and it is recommended that students work on their course projects each week. The final project will be due at the end of the course. This course in conjunction with Semester 2 can count for a FULL year of Spanish 2. Please advise me in a timely manner if transcript information, like grades, will need to be released to you at the end of the course.
