In this ongoing Spanish class, students will be able to learn about the different community helpers in their community. In each class we will discuss a community helper as we learn the Spanish language. Week 1: Teacher (Maestra/o) Week 2: Dentist (Dentista) Week 3: Fire fighter (Bombero) Week 4: Builder (Constructor) Week 5: Doctor (Medico) Week 6: Garbage collector (El basurero) Week 7: Mail carrier (Cartero) Week 8 : Nurse (Enfermera) Week 9: Police officer (Policía) Flow of each class. Learners introductions (Learn Spanish greetings) Who is our community helper What does our community helper do? What tools do they use? Where do they work? Class discussion (Why is this Ayudante de la Communidad important? )

I am an online teacher, Education consultant, translator, mother and an adventure seeker. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic. Spanish is my first language and education is my passion. For the last 7 years I have also taught both Spanish and English online. I have a Bachelor degree in Speech and Learning science with a focus in Early childhood education.
My online classroom is a happy place where students learn through play. I believe that learning should be student based and is best achieved when students are enjoying the learning process. Learning new skills and languages opens up a new world for children, it allows them the ability to create and expand their skill set which is crucial in the world we live in today.
When I am not in the classroom I am most likely creating fun and exciting memories with my 2 children. We enjoy doing arts and crafts, hair tutorials, playing dress up and having tea parties.
