¡Hola! I’m Señora Kelser! I am here to help you be successful! 🙌 Learning Environment: I have taught Spanish to hundreds of students all over the United States in a variety of learning environments: * Virtual School * Public/Private School * Or learning just for fun! What this ongoing class will cover: I will explain & review any Spanish grammar topic related to the typical curriculum learned in Spanish 1. We will focus on Speaking, Writing, and Reading and Listening Comprehension. Topics we will go over: Week 1 (June 5th) : Greetings, Spanish-Speaking Countries Week 2 (June 12th): Spanish-Speaking Nationalities & Emotions vocab with the verb Estar Week 3 (June 19th): Numbers 0-30, alphabet & pronunciation, & colors Week 4: Calendar vocab (days, months) Week 5: Calendar vocab with seasons and weather vocab Week 6: Telling Time Week 7: Common pastimes & the verb Gustar If interest to continue this class beyond 7 weeks, here are the plans: Some topics that we will discuss later in the summer: - Agree/disagree phrases with the verb Gustar (to like/not like), - Using connecting words to create compound sentences - Subject pronouns - Regular -ar, -er, -ir verb conjugation in the Present tense - Boot verbs such as “Jugar” in the Present tense - Family vocab - Noun/adjective agreement - The verb “Ser” with physical adjectives & personality characteristics ⭐ We will go at a somewhat accelerated pace since this ongoing class is designed to be a REVIEW of Spanish 1 curriculum. I will do many checks for understanding throughout the lesson. ✉️ Please send me a message in advance if you’d like to know what we are covering each week!
Learning Goals
Students will receive small group instruction, reviewing Spanish 1 curriculum. This class is designed for students who have already taken at least 1 semester of Spanish 1, and need a refresher before taking Spanish 2. Students will continue to grow in all 4 areas of communication, Reading and Listening (Interpretive) and Speaking and Writing (Interpersonal).
