📆 Schedule: We meet twice a week for 30-minute sessions.
📚 Resources: Students receive a treasure trove—classroom slides, vocabulary lists, Quizlet digital flashcards, and engaging video suggestions!
📖 Curriculum: We follow Avancemos 1, but I provide all materials, so there’s no need to purchase the book unless you’d like a personal copy.

Learning Goals

Students will be able to order food and discuss meals in a restaurant setting using appropriate vocabulary and stem-changing verbs (e→ie).
Students will use the verb ir and the construction "ir a + infinitive" to talk about future plans and events in town.

Week 1: Introduction to Stem-Changing Verbs and Food Vocabulary
 Vocabulary: Food items, meals, and ordering in a restaurant
Grammar: Introduction to stem-changing verbs (e→ie), e.g., querer, preferir

Week 1: Introduction to Stem-Changing Verbs and Food Vocabulary CONTINUED
 Activities: Practice ordering food, using stem-changing verbs in context
Cultural: Meals and eating habits in Spanish-speaking countries

Week 2: Consolidation of Stem-Changing Verbs and Contextual Conversations
 Grammar: Continue with stem-changing verbs (review) and gustar for food preferences
Practice: Role-play restaurant scenarios, ordering food, and talking about meals

 Assessments: Vocabulary quizzes, conversation practice for oral fluency
