Class Experience

Beginner Level
💫Welcome to my Spanish class for Beginners. My program is designed to provide your student with a solid foundation in the Spanish language and help them achieve fluency.
I use a conversational approach to language learning, which means that my students are encouraged to use the language in context from the very beginning of the course. This approach has been proven to be effective in helping students develop their language skills quickly and naturally.

In this 10 week class, students with no prior experience with the Spanish language, will learn the basics with interactive activities and games that will give the students the confidence to continue with my other Spanish programs. We will practice the pronunciation as a group and then I will ask students to repeat the words giving each student individual attention and meeting their level. It will be a bilingual class Spanish/English, with lots of Spanish emphasis.

There will be an audio with all the pronunciation for students to practice after class, as well as a PDF with vocabulary.
If a student can not attend a class, the audio and PDF will provide all the tools to practice the concepts and the pronunciation taught during each class. ( Please contact me to provide other alternatives if your child can not attend a class).
**During the last 5 to 10 minutes of class, students will review the vocabulary using interactive games from: "Educaplay" and"Blooket" and other apps. Students Do Not need to create accounts. Learning Spanish can be very beneficial for kids. Here are some reasons why:
1. It is a widely spoken language: Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world. Knowing Spanish can enable kids to communicate with a larger group of people and understand different cultures.
2. It can enhance their cognitive development: Learning a second language has been shown to improve cognitive skills such as memory, problem-solving, and concentration. These skills can transfer to other areas of learning, such as math and science.
3. It can improve their future career prospects: With the growing importance of the global economy, knowing Spanish can be a major asset in many industries. Employers often seek candidates who can speak Spanish, especially in fields such as healthcare, education, hospitality, and business.
4. It can promote cultural awareness and empathy: Knowing Spanish can broaden a child's cultural horizons and help them understand and appreciate different cultures. This can promote empathy and understanding towards people who may be different from themselves.
Overall, learning Spanish can be a valuable experience for kids. It can enhance their cognitive development, promote cultural awareness and empathy, and improve their future career prospects.

During my years at the university, I had the privilege of being employed by a renowned language company in Colombia CIL. Under the guidance of the institute's owner, I received specialized training in a conversational teaching methodology designed to effectively instruct ESL (English as a Second Language) and Spanish to non-native speakers. This experience provided me with invaluable hands-on learning opportunities, allowing me to develop the skills necessary to teach individuals to communicate proficiently in different languages.

The time I spent working at CIL was truly remarkable, and it influenced my decision to continue working with them for more than eight years. This prolonged association gave me extensive training in handling English and Spanish classes, further enhancing my teaching abilities. Today, I use my experience and native fluency in Spanish to share my knowledge with children, helping them learn a new language. I am also deeply committed to supporting their emotional well-being and assisting them in coping with anxiety and stress through the practice of mindfulness.

Although my primary field of study is International Business, my passion lies in working with children and embarking on a journey of shared learning with them. Their curiosity and enthusiasm inspire me to continually expand my knowledge and refine my teaching approach.
