In this class, we will be talking about the different characteristics of outer space within our solar system. We will cover the planets that are in our solar system and also discuss the differences between planets. In addition we will talk about our efforts that people in the world have made to learn more about space.
Apart of my college curriculum, I took many science courses as electives and as apart of my core subjects that were about Astrology. This area of Science is an interest of mine and passion. In the past, I have had the opportunity to teach kids in Middle school in multiple summer camp programs about the solar system and the planets that are in our solar system. The class covered the Big Bang Theory, a brief history of the Space Race with the United States and other countries in the world, as well as describing each planet in our solar system and discussing the characteristics of the planets and the order of planets in terms of how far away from Earth they are located.
There will occasionally be a pop quiz throughout the lessons. The students will sometimes be assigned homework for them to complete at home before the next class time. (Homework will be brief and not too tedious).
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
