Description

Class Experience

Students will become more familiar with the components of our solar system, including the planets, sun, our moon, the stars, comets, and asteroids. 
Week 1 - white paper,  pencil, a ruler, scissors, glue, crayons or markers, strips of paper (ex. sentence strips, construction paper cut into strips, or a roll of register tape)
Week 2 - 8 Oreos, a toothpick, flour, a container, objects of distinct shapes (these will be dropped in the flour)
Week 3 - print outs (to be emailed), something to write with, scissors, glue, black construction paper, a push pin, rubber bands, and toilet paper rolls (or paper towel rolls cut down to a smaller size)
Week 4 - play dough, a chopstick or popsicle stick, metallic ribbon (3 colors is best, if the craft still works without 3 colors), scissors, tin foil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
