Class Experience

In this class we will start our tour at the NASA space center. We will learn why two world powers decided to race to space and why it was so important for the future of the world. The Space Race has a lot of exciting events and we will discuss and explore these throughout this lesson. History will be brought to life!
I have been teaching for over 7 years now. I have taught many different subjects to many different students. I am a fully qualified teacher who specializes in teaching history. My Bachelor Degree is in History and I have taken multiple child protection courses.
No mandatory homework will be given. Optional challenges and additional reading will be provided for those that want to learn more. Minecraft gives students the opportunity to learn and explore History on their own.
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
