Class Experience

This is an introductory class designed for learners ages 4-6 who are interested in learning all about our solar system. We will learn the name of each of the 8 planets in our solar system (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune), their order in relation to the sun, as well as some fun facts about each planet.
In this class, we will participate in pretend play to actively engage your learners imagination! We will become astronaut explorers and “BLAST OFF” into space and explore the information included in the slide show. While I will encourage everyone to participate, I understand that some learners may be shy. That’s okay! They are welcome to watch the class and participate at their comfort level. After we have explored all the planets, learners will either draw their favorite planet or build it with Play-Doh. Please make sure your learner is prepared with either drawing materials or Play-Doh. Learners will have the opportunity to share their creations with the rest of the class.
During this sharing time, we will work together to create a positive classroom environment where students can practice being active listeners, raising their hands, being kind, and most of all HAVING FUN!
Any materials needed will be listed in the section below. No prior knowledge of the solar system is needed for this class. Just come ready and excited to play and learn!
