Welcome to my Space Exploration Series! In this 6-week, interactive science class, students will be discovering all 8 planets (plus the dwarf planet on the Kuiper Belt) that make up our Solar System. Future parts of my Space Exploration Series will cover other topics such as the Sun, the Moon and Stars as well as Asteroids, Meteors, Comets and weird junk just floating around. But for now, we will focus on our little place in the Galaxy... The weekly class format will be as follows: Week 1:...
To learn all of the planets that make up our solar system as well as their location in relation to the sun.
Students will be assigned weekly worksheets to complete from home and submit before the next class meeting.
Students should log in to class each week with typical school supplies (pencil, eraser, paper, etc). All worksheets will be posted by the teacher to the classroom message board. Supplies for the final project will be posted on the classroom board before the 3rd class meeting.
Students will self-assess during the final class.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
