Welcome fellow Space Cadets! Gather your space helmets because we are going to wander into space and explore the galaxy together! Each class day we will be learning about a new space-related topic. We will begin our space adventure by exploring the past and history that revolves around space. Humans have always been very curious about space so we will learn about what were the first astronomers' theories, how accurate were they, and how did they study the stars. We researchers have only begun to start our studies about space so each student will be encouraged to bring their own thoughts and theories about space. On the second day of class, we will learn about the process and race we had to get to space. During the race, every country wanted to win first place so we will learn which country did win and what did they do to be first. During the third day of class, we will talk about what it takes to become an astronaut and what is the Internation Space Station. Finally, on the last day of class, we will discuss what it is like on each planet. Every planet has a different capacity of gravity so we will explore details about what is possible to do on other planets with their amount of gravity.
A worksheet will be provided at the end of class for fun homework. This will be optional.
