Hello Little Adventurers! Little adventurers, travellers, artists and scientists will explore the continent of South America through continent and country studies, arts and crafts and science experiments! For the week learners will be provided with a workbook. This workbook will include worksheets and further activities to do at home! For the art and science activities, learners will have a copy of the instructions for the craft or activity that will be completed in class! The workbook will also have an additional arts and crafts project and STEAM project that learners may complete in their own time. 🌎Day 1 -Little Adventurers Travel to South America! Learners will cover key facts about the continent including location, relative size and key features! ✈️Day 2 -Little Adventurers Travel to Argentina! We will virtually travel to the country of Argentina and visit some of the famous landmarks and places of interest! 🖌Day 3 - Little Artists Create a Paper Chain Snake! Please note that our art project may not be fully completed during class time. You will also have a copy of the instructions and a video to finish the project at home if needed. We recommend that you and your learners cut and prep the materials in advance, full instructions will be sent in the classroom. 🧪Day 4 - Little STEAM Adventurers will investigate: "How does it rain?" while visiting the Amazon Rainforest! You can find a full breakdown of materials needed in the "Learner Supply" section below! Most are commonly found household items or things that are easy to find!

🍎 Hello, I'm Isaac and I come from Chicago, USA! I've been a full-time classroom teacher for over 5 years and I love seeing my students grow and learn. My teaching style is laid back and interactive and I love seeing learners actively participate in their learning! I have a passion travelling and learning about new countries and cultures! My favourite place in the world is the island of Bali in Indonesia because of the kind hearted people, the stunning landscapes and the food!

🍎 Hi my name is Kameesha and I am from Florida, USA. I have been teaching online for the past 6 years. I am passionate about helping students of all ages learn at their own pace. I am pretty animated when I teach so my teaching style is energetic but easygoing. In the classroom, my goal is to create a positive and fun learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking additional help when needed. I believe that we learn better and retain more when we are having fun, so I strive to have a fun classroom experience. Mute/Unmute: We try not to mute learners during class. If your learner has background noise they may be muted and this will be communicated to them. Please make sure that learners are able to unmute their microphones or grownups are nearby to support.
Technical Issues: If you are experiencing technical issues during class time please try logging out of zoom and back in. Teachers like to be fully present for other learners during class time so may not be able to answer messages sent. If the problem persists please contact Outschool Support.
Teacher Substitutions: We are an organisation with a group of teachers. In some instances another teacher may substitute for another (in the event of sickness/appointments/other engagments). This will be communicated as soon as possible to learners and parents.
