Description
Class Experience
review letter sounds and make/read/write 3 letter words (CVC)
I have 6 years of classroom experience as a special education teacher, 20 years of experience as a tutor, and five years of experience as a homeschool mom. I am pulling all my best strategies together to teach this course in a hands-on, multisensory way that builds success & confidence to enjoy learning to read!
Students should practice with their letters throughout their week (about 5-10 minutes a day is great)
To provide a multi-sensory learning experience, students should have a hands-on letter manipulative. This can be magnetic letters, sandpaper letter cards, foam letters, letter tiles, flashcards etc. These can be handmade if you don't have anything else available. Please message me if you need a link to a purchased or DIY option.
Informal assessment can be given based on performance in group classes. If you wish to have a formal assessment or progress monitoring completed please book a 1:1 assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
