Description
Class Experience
Confused about the differences between the SAT and ACT? Which one should you take, when you should take them, and how best to prepare? What else should you be doing in terms of extracurriculars? To work or intern? And how even to begin preparing a list of colleges to apply to? We'll answer all of these questions and more, outlining differences between test offerings and preparing a schedule for each student based on their extracurriculars and interests. We'll also begin the college...
Students will come out class knowing the differences between college entrance exams, a schedule for which one(s) to take, and an agenda for applying to colleges. Students will also create a plan for building their resume and beginning their college research process.
The college application process can be daunting! That's why I love sharing whatever guidance and advice I can to help make the journey as stress-free and efficient as possible. I am the owner and founder of a test prep and tutoring company in Los Angeles, and have spent almost twenty years tutoring the SAT and ACT, and helping students with their college applications and essays.
Students should have a general idea of their GPA. If PSAT or P-ACT scores are available, it can be helpful to have them on hand, but is not necessary. Be prepared to take notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
