Students will learn the following art/drawing fundamentals: ✅ Utilizing basic shapes to create a more complex form; the full body of a character ✅ Basic understanding of the male and female face in the Sonic the Hedgehog style. ✅ Proper measurements and proportions for the full body. ✅ How to properly layer and apply color to their work. ✅ The confidence to continue drawing the anime face on their own after the class has been completed.
Mrs. Vallarta has been focusing on anime/art on Outschool since February 2018. As a personal avid anime enthusiast, she is familiar with many series, genres, characters and can teach how to execute any aspect of this. Mrs. Vallarta has her Bachelors in Fine Arts and has taught art for 18+ years. Six of those years has been online. Mrs. Vallarta offers over 50 different types of courses that include but not limited to; general anime, anatomy, art, drawing, watercoloring and more.
Homework Offered
Homework will be optional and highly beneficial. Homework outside of the classroom typically takes under an hour to complete.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

💠 Sketchbook/Paper 💠 Pencil 💠 Pencil sharpener 💠 Eraser (vinyl recommended) 💠 Fine-tip permanent pen (Sharpie and Micron recommended) 💠 Coloring materials (Mrs. V will demo with Copic Markers. Students may use any coloring materials. This includes and not limited to; colored pencils, markers, crayons, watercolor pencils/pens, etc. If using watercolor pencils/pens please use watercolor paper).
This is based off of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise which includes but not limited to; games, comics, and animated series.
