US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this ongoing, weekly class we will create a different Sonic character each week. Students will have the opportunity to chat and discuss Sonic while we make our projects. Templates and guidance will be given, and all skill levels are welcome. No prior or expert levels of Sonic knowledge is required. Every week we will focus on a different character and learn how to layer our paper to create epic masterpieces! Students will also have the ability to suggest characters for future class projects. Students will be encouraged to share what they create and will be able to share any other Sonic goodies they want to at the end of class. My class setting is a relaxed, fun, open space for all students to be able to discuss and express their thoughts about what we are learning. I encourage student interaction with not only myself but with their fellow classmates. Everyone is expected to be respectful, positive and listen to one another but also feel like they have the ability to share their own thoughts and opinions. I believe learning should be fun and try to provide a space for that to happen. As a neurodivergent teacher myself, I incorporate different learning styles (visual, hands-on etc.) to make sure everyone is included & is able to find learning styles that work best for them. I strive to find a balance that includes everyone! Jan 13: Sonic Jan 20: Tails Jan 27: Shadow Feb 3: Dr. Eggman Feb 10: Knuckles Feb 17: Amy
Learning Goals
