Students will help create adventures for a role-playing game that allows them to experience various parts of Greek Mythology as a young hero/heroine. We will spend the first class learning about how to create an adventure, class 2 will be creating a character, and then the next 3 classes will be participating in the adventures created by the heroes in pairs. The goal of our lesson is to experience some of the adventures that happen in Greek Mythology. If the student has knowledge of Greek Mythology, the learner will be able to use that knowledge to create adventures for others to participate in. If the student has not read Greek Mythology, they will encounter new monsters, gods/goddesses, and places when adventuring. Also, they will explore in depth the topic of their adventures for greater understanding. Every student will receive all the information they need to create the adventure they desire.
Homework Offered
The learner will spend time outside of class to write 1 adventure over the 5 weeks. They can use the Adventure Planner to help guide them in their writing outside of class. Also, I will be available for support during class and through email outside of class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
