Learners sometimes have difficulty with subtraction of 2-digit and 3-digit problems. We will start by reviewing numerical place value. Next, I will demonstrate how to solve a 2-digit subtraction problem without regrouping (borrowing). Then I will demonstrate how to solve a 3-digit subtraction problem without regrouping. Next, I will demonstrate how to solve a 2-digit subtraction problem with regrouping. After that, I will demonstrate how to do a 3-digit problem with regrouping. Then, I will demonstrate how to do a 2-digit subtraction problem with regrouping including zeros. Followed by a 3-digit subtraction problem with regrouping including zeros. The learner will do a few problems independently after each of my demonstrations. Finally, the learner will solve a few problems independently. If learner needs more practice, they can enroll in my multi-day class "Solving Subtraction Problems: Single and Multi-digit."
