For all of our detectives out there, this class allows them to practice their discussion and problem solving skills while discovering who stole the painting in Cardiff.

Tony has a pretty boring life working as a detective in Cardiff. However, when a painting goes missing from the local museum, he begins to realize that things are not as good as he once thought. The little seaside town holds a secret. While the people of Cardiff want to help Tony at first, he can tell they want to stop him when he starts digging deeper. Help Tony solve the mystery of the missing painting before the people of Cardiff become too hostile. In this class, students will each be given a set of clues via private message in class. They will be responsible for sharing their clues with the class. Student will learn the vocabulary words- motive, hunch, hypothesis, and red herring. Students will come up with a hypothesis, and I will let them know how close they are. Once they have solved the mystery, we will talk about what they could have done more efficiently to solve the mystery. The clues given include information on where certain characters were and when, who saw what, and who had a motive to take the painting. No hostages are taken or anything that might be frightening.

Students will learn-

-how to listen and consider others' ideas and receive feedback on your own idea
