Class Experience
Jan Brett is a celebrity in the world of children's literature! Her stories, both original and retold, coupled with her beautiful and telling illustrations have the ability to grab a reader from the first page. During our 6 weeks together, learners will follow the book schedule below, reading one specific story * * *outside of class* * * in preparation for a lively and deep dive discussion in our live meetings (stories are encouraged to be read in any way that feels best: as a read aloud,...

Learners will follow the book schedule above, reading one specific story * * *outside of class* * * in preparation for a lively and deep dive discussion in our live meetings (stories are encouraged to be read in any way that feels best: as a read aloud, independent reading, shared reading, etc.!)
As listed above, each class will culminate with a book-themed activity. Whether activities are from a teacher-made template that needs to be printed or from a blank piece of paper, we will be utilizing 'household' materials such as: -- pencils -- markers/ crayons/ colored pencils -- watercolor paints -- glue sticks
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
All books listed in the book schedule are welcome to be borrowed, lent or purchased.
