Have you ever wanted to knit your own socks? Hate trying to find socks that fit your foot just right? Do those tiny needles and thin yarn scare you? Embark on a knitting journey like no other! In this comprehensive class, students will learn the captivating art of knitting socks from the toes up, mastering essential techniques such as turning a heel, executing short rows, decreasing stitches, adding stitches, and more- all while skillfully utilizing a size US8 or US( 16-inch circular needle with worsted weight yarn. Acquiring these invaluable skills will empower you to seamlessly transition to knitting with sock yarn and smaller needles, opening up a wools of endless sock-knitting possibilities! This class will meet 2 days a week for 3 weeks. Students will be encouraged to knit at least one of the two socks while attending class, ensuring hands-on learning and progress. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, so I am offering the option to book a one-time, personalized one-on one session for extra assistance if needed. To fully participate in the class, studnets are required to set aside dedicated time each day to work on their socks, allowing them to keep up with the pace of the lessons. Prior knowledge of casting on and completing the knit stitch is essential, but don't worry if you need a refresher or to learn how. Private lessons can be arranged upon request before the class begins, so you can confidently start your knitting journey. Knitting is not only a valuable skill but also a form of art and a delightful way to express your creativity. Join me a class that combines skill-building and enjoyment in a setting inspired by the Waldorf philosophy- its a truly fun and fulfilling experience!
