US Grade 7 - 10
This one week class will meet three times within that week for 60 minutes each class session. Over the course of the week, the Learner will become familiar with the three sociological perspectives. There is no prior knowledge or skills required for this course. This course will introduce the following perspectives: functional theory, conflict theory, and interactionist theory. Learners will gain knowledge of the three theories of the sociological perspective.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, a Master's in Social Science, and I am in my last two years of my Doctorate in Education. I have taught biology, science, social science, and sociology.
Homework Offered
A question will be given at the end of class sessions one and two. This question will take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to answer depending on the length of time your Learner chooses to spend.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The Kahoot game code will be given during class session three before we begin the game. I ask that you have the Kahoot website open and ready during our third and final class together.Grades Offered
The Learner will need access to handouts that will be uploaded to the classroom before class session one begins. The Learner will also need paper and pen to take notes and complete homework assignments. The Learner will also need access to Kahoot.com on the third and final class session.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The content of this class will cover the three sociological perspectives. There is no sensitive material that will be covered during this class.
Required handouts will be uploaded to the classroom before the class session begins. The Learner will be responsible for printing or viewing the handouts for the class. The Kahoot game code will be given during class session three before we begin the game. I ask that you have the Kahoot website open and ready during our third and final class together.
