Description

Class Experience

I am a graduate of The University of Toronto in Psycholinguistics. I am currently a mental health and addictions student. Also, I am a certified emotional intelligence practitioner, mindfulness-training practitioner and facilitator. In addition to this, I am certified in other psychology disciplines such as cognitive behavioural therapy and dialectal behavioural therapy. Lastly, I am experienced in working in person with all kinds of children and guiding them through emotional regulation techniques.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be creating my materials but I will be referring to resources I own from my emotional intelligence certification course, and mindfulness practitioner course. Also, I will be referring to workbooks and activities when creating materials.

Some resources I will be referring to are:
- Social Skills Activities for Kids: 50 Fun Exercises for Making Friends, Talking and Listening, and Understanding Social Rules by Natasha Daniels
- You Are a Social Detective! Explaining Social Thinking to Kids, 2nd Edition
- The Social Skills Guidebook: Manage Shyness, Improve Your Conversations, and Make Friends, Without Giving Up Who You Are by Chris MacLeod
