I have a degree in psycholinguistics from The University of Toronto. I am also a Mental Health and Addictions students. Also, I am a certified Mindfulness Facilitator, DBT practitioner and Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. In addition to this, I have experience in working with students on the autism spectrum, and teaching mindfulness to children.
Students will be provided with a handout after every class that will help them review everything we learn.
Some students may feel sensitive to the learnings in this course. Parental guidance is suggested for students who may be more sensitive to this topic. I will also be providing handouts about what we will be learning in class if parents choose to follow along and personally discuss about it with their child.
For this course, I will be using kids books such as "Train your Dragon series" to provide examples and scenarios, and my own material that are inspired by the contents of my Communication Skills Course.
