Class Experience
Through this tutoring listing, I will be able to work one-on-one with your student. It allows an opportunity to express concerns or questions they have about a difficult assignment, project, topic, or concept in social studies, history, geography, government, world cultures, or civics. Just let me know! Upon registering for the class, the student will be asked to provide specific information on what they would like to discuss during the scheduled time. I am a certified teacher in Illinois in Social Studies, History, Economics, and Geography. I also have a Masters of Public Affairs and can tutor in Government and Civics. I started my career teaching English and Economics in the Peace Corps (Bulgaria) and then I shifted to working in "new" democracies, training communities (citizens and elected officials) on civic education, advocacy, outreach, and organizing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
