Class Experience

I am a certified teacher in Illinois in Social Studies, History, Economics, and Geography. I also have a Masters of Public Affairs and can tutor in Government and Civics. I started my career teaching English and Economics in the Peace Corps (Bulgaria) and then I shifted to working in "new" democracies, training communities (citizens and elected officials) on civic education, advocacy, outreach, and organizing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

About Me

I enjoy providing students with the tools to decipher what is going on in the world around them by discussing current events, introducing them to new cultures and far-away lands, or helping them make their corner of the world a little better.
