In this 5-week course about "Historical Inventors and Thinkers", we will explore the essential questions: *How have the lives of people changed throughout the course of history? *How do inventors impact the world? *Why is it important to learn about pioneers in their field? *How do pioneers impact the world around them? Students will gain an understanding of what our Inventors and Thinkers did to change the world we live in today.
I have had over 10 years’ experience teaching elementary age students’ Social Studies curriculum. I have created lessons, followed state and common core standards, and implemented them within a full classroom setting.
For this unit students will need: Printer scissors color paper construction paper poster board glue Internet access
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Student will be doing hands-on activities that will involve printing, cutting, gluing, coloring and researching online.
Students will need to look up and research an Inventor or Thinker of their choice. They will need to see the impact that person has contributed to our world.
