In this ongoing class, learners meet live weekly to explore a new theme in United States (American) History.

Class experience

US Grade 5
I have over twenty years of experience working with and teaching students.  I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics.  My master's degree is in Higher Education.  I also have a juris doctorate degree in Law.  Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular! 
Homework Offered
Optional assignments will be posted in the Outschool Classroom each week. Completed assignments will be given feedback if turned in.

Grades are offered on homework. Certificates are given at the parent's request.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Topics will include information about various historical events and subjects that can be sensitive in nature.  All assignments will be kept in an age-appropriate manner.  If inappropriate topics are brought up, they will be addressed quickly, and the discussion will be redirected.

Resources from the Library of Congress Native American Collection and the National Museum of the American Indian will be used during our unit on the Indigenous peoples as well as throughout the course.
