Beginner Level
In this exciting 20-minute textured hair history class, I'll take you on a journey to discover the roots of African American hair texture. We'll explore topics like the rich cultural significance of hair, traditional hairstyles, and how hair has evolved over time. My class is structured to make learning fun and engaging. We'll start with a short introduction, dive into our historical exploration, and wrap up with a brief interactive activity where you can create your mini hairstyle on a doll or mannequin to show what you've learned. I love to teach by telling fascinating stories, showing pictures using Power Point, and asking questions, so I do ask that learners stay involved with your camera on. You'll have plenty of chances to interact with me and your fellow learners. We'll discuss interesting facts, and look at pictures. No prior experience or knowledge is needed – just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore the wonderful world of textured hair!
