Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to make a simple apple sauce recipe, different apple types and how they are used
I have been teaching preschool aged children cooking for 9 years and look forward to cooking with your student.
4 apples (about 2 pounds)- for applesauce, softer apples like Golden Delicious, McIntosh and Gala are best but any will work just fine. 2-4 Tbsp. sugar or honey 1/4 cup apple juice or water 2 tsp. cinnamon Recipe provided at registration
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Due to the age of the students, adults will need to assist with putting the apples on the stove and transferring the cooked apples to a bowl to finish the recipe. If the student is unfamiliar with measuring and mashing, adults may need to assist introducing this step.
