In this lesson, children will explore what makes a good friend and how they can resolve arguments with friends positively. Using a Lesson Presentation, children will be encouraged to share the ideas of things that they might like to do with their friends. We will then explore what qualities a good friend has and we will discuss the things a good friend doesn’t do. Students will be encouraged to discuss what they can do if someone isn’t being a good friend to them. Using picture cards with different scenarios children will discuss what a good friend would do in these situations or how the child in the picture is being a good friend. Then, learners will explore strategies to help them solve an argument with a friend. Finally, students will be encouraged to create a drawing of themselves and their friends and think about the things they love in their friends.
