Class Experience

Welcome! This course is for all students - neurotypical and neurodivergent.

This emotional intelligence program covers social skills, emotional awareness, and character building to enhance relationships and communication through weekly topics. Students will learn a variety of skills that will help them develop self-awareness, improve social interaction, learn stress management, integrate critical thinking skills, and strengthen friendships. Certain concepts are based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills and positive psychology.

~ Class Experience ~
Keynote is utilized to present the educational content for the social-emotional skill topic of the week. This course is instructional and discussion-based. Student output is encouraged but not forced. Scenarios may be used to prompt critical thinking and engagement, however, there is no role-playing. I respectfully ask that cameras be on so we can work on social-emotional skills most effectively.
