Come and join the fun with your friends in our weekly show and tell circle time! We will start by listening to a story which will be presented on visual slides. Please see below for details of the stories. After the story we will have a show and tell activity where children will have the chance to share something special to them with their friends. Children can take it in turns to speak and this class allows for children to develop their speaking and listening skills in a social environment. Following the show and tell if time permits we will finish by drawing a picture related to the story we have heard that day. Please note that we may not always have time for the drawing depending on how many learners we have for the show and tell. Learners can bring along a piece of paper and pencil/colours for the drawing. Show and Tell Themes: ** Each week we will have a different show and tell theme so if you can bring something related to that theme for show and tell that would be fantastic but please donβt worry if that is not possible, children can bring anything which they are able to. Please see the weekly themes below. Week 1: Little Red Riding Hood. Theme - your favourite toy. Week 2: Jack and the Beanstalk. Theme - something found in nature. Week 3: The Three Little Pigs. Theme - something you have made for example artwork or a model you have built. Week 4: The Gingerbread Man. Theme - your favourite book. Week 5: Goldilocks. Theme - your favourite jigsaw or board game Week 6: The Little Red Hen. Theme - your favourite animal toy Week 7: Cinderella - your favourite item of clothing Week 8: Beauty and the Beast - a picture of your family to tell the group about. ** Please note this class requires a minimum of two learners to take place for sharing in the show and tell. If you are interested in this class and canβt see a time that is convenient please do message me and we will see if we can arrange a time to suit you. Thank you. Class expectations: Please note that I will cover class expectations at the start of the class. I will ask the children to make sure their listening ears are turned on and I will ask children to raise their hand and wait to speak. Each child will get a chance to talk during the show and tell as we take turns to speak. There may be times when I need to use the mute button if there is background noise. Thank you. Class Materials: Children can bring their special item to share with the class. They can bring paper, pencil and colours for the drawing activity. No prior knowledge is necessary for this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! My name is Catherine and I am an experienced primary school teacher from the UK. I have a BA Honours degree in Structured Textiles and a PGCE degree in Primary Education. For the last 7 years I have been a certified teacher of early years education.
I currently teach part time in a primary school. During the rest of the week I teach here on Outschool.
I am up to date with the current curriculum requirements and I have extensive experience of teaching synthetic phonics, mathematics and mindfulness lessons using a scheme called Mind Up in my Primary School.
I absolutely love teaching on this platform and having the opportunity to meet young learners from all over the world. It is my passion to provide fun and engaging learning opportunities whilst helping children to grow in confidence and believe in themselves.
I offer a caring and welcoming learning environment where I help children to feel happy and safe. I am a motivated, enthusiastic and loving teacher who will help your child to grow in confidence whilst having fun learning new things.
My specialism is teaching literacy through synthetic phonics and I am excited to offer a variety of fun phonics lessons in which children can become secure in recognising letters and their sounds. Children will use multi sensory approaches to learn phonics through exciting games and learning activities.
I love spending time outdoors and visiting new places with my family. I am a Mum to a toddler who is turning 3 this year. She loves exploring the world around her and it is beautiful to see her excitement as she is learning about her world.
I am so excited to meet your little ones! Please take a look at the range of classes I offer. I offer both group and individual classes and I am flexible to schedule requests. I look forward to hearing from you soon and meeting your little one. π₯°
