Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about body language, facial expression and the importance of confidence which will enable them to form constructive relationships with others.
I have a Specialist Degree in Education with a major in Educational Psychology and Counselor Education. I have been guiding students for 13 years in areas such as anger management, social skills, character education, career awareness and academic improvement. I have had Essentials of Communication with Rockhurst College Continuing Education Center in the National Seminars Group and numerous training seminars on reading body language and facial expressions while I was with the District Attorney's Office as a criminal investigator.
Learners will complete weekly individual projects. Assignments will be given to help strengthen their ability to recognize messages sent by others through body language and facial expressions and what messages they may be sending to others with their own body language and facial expressions. Students will not be given any reading assignments, but will be expected to either write about what they have learned in each class or do a video submission of what they learned in each class and after completing assignments.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents must approve of engagement in social interactions before students engage in the interactions. All assignments are optional, but the out of class assignments will help students understand and retain the information.
Students will be given access to watch the class video on my private youtube account.
