Class Experience

During this weekly class, we will be working on social skills that we can practice in a safe space and put to use in every day life. Each week will have a new topic to learn and practice, and give the students a chance to interact and build community with one another.

Teaching these social and life skills is one of my big passions. I look forward to student and teacher interaction and discussion in our live weekly classes. For each week, we will select a topic from the topic pool, and we will have a few minutes of introduction to the topic, discussion of the topic, and then practice of some of the tips/techniques related to the topic (for several of these classes, group discussion is the practice). Activities and resources needed for each class will be provided by the teacher.

While many of these topics seem to build on one another, each week is designed to be a stand alone class, so that students may join as needed. Students will of course get a lot out of being part of every week, but this is not a requirement to be a part of this class. Some topics will also be revisited based on needs/desires of students present.
