This specialized class is designed to empower neurodivergent students with essential social skills for effective communication. Focusing on active listening and maintaining meaningful conversations. This course provides a safe and supportive environment where students can develop and refine their social interaction abilities. Through interactive exercises, role-playing, and tailored techniques, participants will learn how to enhance their active listening skills, interpret nonverbal cues, and engage in natural and engaging conversations. Join us to gain confidence, build connections, and navigate social interactions with greater ease. Here's a list of what students will learn in the one-day "Social Skills for Neurodivergent Learners: Listening & Conversation" class: 1. Active Listening: Techniques to listen attentively and connect with others. 2. Nonverbal Cues: Interpret body language and facial expressions. 3. Engaging Talks: Start, maintain, and wrap up conversations effectively. 4 Empathy: Understand others' perspectives and emotions. 5. Boundaries: Respect personal space and boundaries. 6. Kanban Board (Visual Goals) In just one day, students will gain practical skills to enhance their social interactions and relationships.
