Does your learner love Minecraft? Do they want to play with other learners their own age? If so then this class is for them! Each week we will play Minecraft together in a secure and private gaming room! The teacher will set up a private gaming room for learners to use together! We will play in creative mode. Learners will then be able to play together, help each other, and learn more about the game from each other! The teacher will serve as a moderator during class ensuring game play is kept appropriate and all learners are able to share and participate. The last 10 minutes learners will be given time to share a build they made in the realm. Class will follow the following format: 5 minutes of saying hello and reviewing rules 5 minutes of the teacher sharing build ideas such as a tree house, pirate ship, roller coaster, etc 20 minutes of build time while playing a teacher created would you rather Minecraft edition game, a teacher created Minecraft character guessing game, or teacher led discussion questions 10 minutes of build share time facilitated by the teacher Week of 11/25 learners will participate in Minecraft trivia while building Week of 12/2 learners will participate in a Minecraft mob guessing game while building Week of 12/9 learners will participate in Minecraft would you rather while building Week of 12/16 learners will participate in discussion questions about Minecraft favorites led by the teacher while building Please have a separate device for playing the game available during class. Class Rules: -Remember we are here to have fun -Be nice and help each other if needed -Respect each other Please make sure you have a Microsoft account and have the parental controls set that you will be able to join my realm. If these are not both done you will not be able to join my realm. Once you sign up please send me your gamertag so I can send you a friend request. Parental Guidance
Minecraft contains very little violence, graphic or inappropriate content. There is no blood in the game, however players can hit/kill enemies or animals to survive. The graphics are very cartoon like and minimalistic. Students will be playing on an online server hosted and moderated by the teacher.
Students who choose to disrupt the classroom or other learners will be removed from the server. Actions that are not acceptable includes but are not limited to:
- Breaking other students/teachers creations
- Bad language or cursing
- Hacking
- Using the game to grief another student
Please make sure you send the gamertag in a private message as this qualifies as private information for the learner.

Hello, my name is Ms. Stephanie! I have been on Outschool for almost 3 years and teaching for the past twelve years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Elementary Education. I have been a tutor and a lead classroom teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow.
