Social Realm: Minecraft (bedrock creative)

Does your learner love Minecraft? Do they want to play with other learners their own age? If so then this class is for them!

Each week we will play Minecraft together in a secure and private gaming room! The teacher will set up a private gaming room for learners to use together! We will play in creative mode. Learners will then be able to play together, help each other, and learn more about the game from each other! The teacher will serve as a moderator during class ensuring game play is kept appropriate and all learners are able to share and participate. The last 10 minutes learners will be given time to share a build they made in the realm. 

Class will follow the following format:
5 minutes of saying hello and reviewing rules
5 minutes of the teacher sharing build ideas such as a tree house, pirate ship, roller coaster, etc
20 minutes of build time while playing a teacher created would you rather Minecraft edition game, a teacher created Minecraft character guessing game, or teacher led discussion questions
10 minutes of build share time facilitated by the teacher 

Week of 2/17 learners will participate in Minecraft favorites discussion questions while building
Week of of 2/24 learners will participate in Minecraft would you rather while building
Week of 3/3 learners will participate in a Minecraft mob guessing game while building
Week of 3/10 learners will participate in Minecraft trivia while building 
Week of 3/17 No class
Wee of 3/24 No class
Week of 3/31 learners will participate in Minecraft favorites discussion questions while building


Please have a separate device for playing the game available during class.

Please make sure you have a Microsoft account and have the parental controls set that you will be able to join my realm.  If these are not both done you will not be able to join my realm.  Once you sign up please send me your gamertag so I can send you a friend request. Please send this in a private message to the teacher as this qualifies as private information for the learner.
