Class Experience
In this weekly social group, children are welcomed to come engage with their peers. We will work on social cues, initiating and maintaining conversation and making friends. This class affords children the opportunity to interact with their peers, share hobbies and interests, use their social skills, and make new friends. There will be rotating topics including favorite animals/pets (some of my pets usually make a cameo appearance,) favorite foods, hobbies, books or movies, and more. I also...

As a mother of a 12 year old with autism, anxiety, sensory processing disorder, and OCD, I know the importance of understanding social cues and initiating conversations. I have taught at 2 different homeschool co-ops working with many different special needs children on varying functional levels. I have been homeschooling my son his entire educational career while working closely with therapists and specialists to ensure all of his needs are met.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
