Description

Class Experience

Students will learn four key social-emotional learning skills to successfully transition to live after high school; self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills
As a former teacher, college readiness counselor and now an Educational Consultant, I understand the importance of social-emotional learning skills. These are essential skills for students to learn and successfully transition to life in high-school and after it so students can move forward with their educational and career goals, create a plan and get excited about their future.
Homework is assigned weekly, it is differentiated, students will engage in weekly discussions with teacher and classmates, comprehension questions, and either develop a PowerPoint a Keynote, write an essay or develop a video.
-A three page "Assessing Yourself"worksheet will be provided for students. Page two of the worksheet will be completed prior to the lesson. -The “My Career Action Plan” will be completed the second week of the lesson.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be assessed based on their homework and comprehension of the materials.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
